The “Revenge Tour” is about to begin and we are super excited. The Carolina Skyhawks' Staff has tirelessly put in the work and we are ready to reap the rewards.
The off-season started with a bang as we signed veteran free agents Whistle Jones (K), Levant Irvine (LB) and Heath McDaniel, Jr.(WR). Whistle (the Thiccness) will be the difference between punting and three points when we march down to the other team’s side of the field. Levant is a beast and will be a great addition to our already strong Linebacker core of Forrest Stark and Shravan Prasad. Heath will join Harish Prasad and Shea Carroll giving Sully Richardson three very strong receivers.
In the supplemental rounds of the draft we acquired Chad Nevels (FS) and Mark Martin (CB). These two acquisitions should help shore up our already strong secondary which includes Zane Doty, Davidson Joseph, Trystan Hatley and Rachelle Colston. We were also able to draft one of our non-contract players from last season Sam Avolis (WR) which will provide Sully with yet another target.
Coaches Harish Prasad, Sully Richardson and new addition Heath McDaniel, Jr. have been simming constantly and tweaking playbooks all off-season. The young coaching staff now has two seasons of learning under their belts, and they are hoping that this will be the breakout year for the Skyhawks.
We had our first scrimmage Sunday night against the Louisiana Revolution and the outcome was in our favor (3-14). We will also be adding the Fort Worth Toros and Mexico City Aztecs to our scrimmage schedule. We are hopeful to see similar results from those scrimmages.
I have seen other SFL Owners talk about the Skyhawks in general chat. Eddie Gauge the Arizona Scorpions owner warns everyone “Don’t sleep on Carolina”. After watching our first scrimmage, Mighty Rx (Florida Storm owner) states “Logan is Jacked”. We are pumped up and ready to go. Will this be our season? Follow us along this season to find out.
