The votes have been tallied. The results are in. As we celebrate our 15th Season in the SFL, we would like to announce our elected Captains for Season 15.
Offensive Captains:
Sully Richardson (QB)
Sully was drafted by the Skyhawks in Season 13. In his two-year career with the SkyGang, he has a completion percentage of 85%, 5,572 passing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, 46 interceptions and a QB rating of 90.84. He also makes a great impact off the field as our Defensive Coordinator and Social Media Director.
Logan Jack (HB)
Logan was obtained by the Skyhawks during Season 14 free agency from the New Orleans Pharaohs. The Wolverine had 311 carries for 944 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns in his first season with the SkyGang. He also had 47 receptions for 230 yards with one rushing touchdown. Let’s hope all of Logan’s lifting during the off-season helps to increase his numbers in Season 15.
Defensive Captains
Zane Doty (CB)
Zane joined Carolina in Season 13 after spending three seasons in Queen City. In his five-year career, Zane has a total of 352 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 33 pass deflections and 24 interceptions. Thirteen of those 24 interceptions occurred in Season 14. Zane’s performance in Season 14 landed him a spot in the SFL All-Star Game as well as a nomination for DPOTY. Zane currently holds the SFL record for the most interceptions in a season by a cornerback.
Trystan Hatley (SS)
Trystan Hatley (also known as “Captain DF”) is entering his fifth season with Carolina. In his four year career he has 272 tackles, 34 pass deflections and 15 interceptions. He also makes an impact off the field as our locker room clown.
Special Teams Captain
Whistle Jones (K)
We obtained Whistle in free agency this offseason from the Seattle Tyrants. In his one year career with the Tyrants, he made 21 of the 23 field goals he attempted. With a 9-point contribution in Seattle’s win over the Denver Nightwings, Whistle received the week 9 Special Teams Honorable Mention Player of the week.
